About Me
Makkedah Ramsey is an ambitious and rising public relations and entertainment journalism professional.
She recently graduated from Baruch College, where she majored in Journalism and minored in Communication. She’s passionate about storytelling and aims to use her growing experiences to deepen her understanding of the media industry.

As Executive Vice President of Baruch’s Undergraduate Student Government, Makkedah represented the student body, managed events, and made sure student voices were heard—building skills in organization, event planning, creative pitching, and leadership. Her work earned her a nomination for the 2024 Baruch College Phenomenal Women Award and two 2025 Student Achievement Awards for Outstanding Leadership and Dedicated Service.

Her passion for storytelling has taken her from Pop Culture Planet, where she covered entertainment, TV, and film, to on-the-ground interviews at major events like South by Southwest, NYC Comic Con, and Tribeca Film Festival. She’s known for her energetic, thoughtful interviewing style and her natural ability to immerse herself in the entertainment world.
Through her role as an Integrated Marketing Intern at Her Campus Media and as a content creator for brands like Fenty Beauty and CeraVe, Makkedah continues to study every side of media. She brings authenticity and flair to every brand she represents—not just as a creator, but also as a strategist and storyteller, blending research and adaptability with her creative voice.

This is just the start of her journey—and she’s eager for what’s next.
